"Due to a recent and continuing medical emergency with a loved one, and a touring member of Kississippi, we must unfortunately cancel all remaining dates for 2018, including our headline tour with Ruler and gobbinjr.

We are really bummed to give you this news, but it’s sadly all we can do right now. We are sorry to anyone who was looking forward to a show and we hope to see everyone sometime in 2019."

Kississippi
Since 2014, Zoe Reynolds has been making music under the Kississippi moniker, but the release of her debut full length, Sunset Blush signals a change for the artist. Following a series of demo releases and EPs, Reynolds believes she has finally found her voice, calling Sunset Blush an honest recognition of the music she always wanted to make. The album fully immerses listeners in Kississippi’s sincerely heartfelt world, with Reynolds sharing every strength and struggle that fueled her writing. The album’s namesake comes from a flavor of boxed wine that’s frequently appeared throughout Reynolds’ adulthood; consumed on rooftops reached by ladders or in between sets at house shows. The album enlivens these moments saturated in nostalgia for listeners, Sunset Blush is more than just a debut, it’s Reynolds’ reassurance to herself and others that even when things are at their worst, brighter days are ahead, and you have the strength needed to get through it.

Upbeat and whimsical indie pop meets themes of loss, remorse, relationships and uninvited advances.gobbinjr (lower case please) is Madison, WI-native turned Brooklynite Emma Jerk Witmer’s unapologetic project. Her debut album manalang (again, leave your caps at home) is the blunt, peachy child of Witmer’s angsty yet sophisticated approach, creating a bedroom-panorama of earwormy, hazy melodies. Following 'manalang', Witmer released the vom night EP which explores the darkest depths of a depressed mind while on an intergalactic journey, diving in the sea, or time traveling. While the recording artist gobbinjr is one individual's unfiltered, unfettered statement, the band gobbinjr has been playing around Brooklyn and touring North America for years, meeting new friends and commiserating in shimmery sadness.Entirely written, performed, recorded, and produced by Witmer herself, ocala wick is her newest effort, and Topshelf debut. It sees her building upon her previous work and refining her pop sensibility while honing in on themes of “creepy dudes at shows, not wanting to be sexualized at work and not reciprocating inappropriate advances."
Ruler
Ruler
Ruler’s music—hook-heavy, assertive, inspiring—is made for motion. It’s a soundtrack for moving forward, for getting better, in terms of both healing and self-improvement. Built on main man Matt Batey’s lifelong fears, anxieties, addictions and failures, not to mention his preternatural gift for creating instantly classic indie rock, Ruler’s songs follow that old adage by Robert Frost: The best way out is through. And in this case the best way through is with the volume cranked all the way up.

No platitudes or love songs here—only raw interior monologue and deep character analysis. For most us, this stuff is hard to confront and even harder to articulate. Batey’s lyrics are pointedly specific—so much so that they’re immediately relatable. And they’re set to soaring tunes that are beautifully, earnestly upbeat. Amid his brilliance and artistry, Batey exposes himself as one of us. That’s his purpose and his gift, spelled out in Ruler’s bold, beautiful songs: Life hurts, but it's great, and that’s it.
