E Joseph and The Sparrows
E Joseph and The Sparrows
E.Joseph and The Sparrows are a gloom-pop indie rock trio
from Philadelphia fronted by EJ Neenan (aka E.Joseph) a
Delaware Valley indie music veteran whose previous bands
have supported artists such as The Church, The Posies,
(the late) Tommy Keene, The Chameleons (UK), Terra
Lightfoot, Throwing Muses, The Soup Dragons, Dramarama,
Dwight Twilley, and many others. EJ brings a sound that is
full of both melody and guitar-crunch melded with the
Sparrows’ (Alan Lee - bass and David Daniel - drums) sonic
RadioStaticPhilly says E.Joseph and The Sparrows has,
“great hooks, awesome song writing and grungy undertones
that will have you reminiscing about the 90’s...hazy
psych...pop overtones...yet these three tracks still have a
great underground feel to them!"
E.Joseph's music can be heard on Spotify, Pandora, iTunes,
Amazon, and other streaming music outlets as well as select AAA and college/independent radio stations.
Recently the band won Best Alternative Song for their track, White Dove, and received a 2018 WSTW
Hometown Heroes Homey Award. Their song, Rabbit Hole was a top 5 finalist in the Homey Award Song of
the Year category. This summer, E.Joseph and The Sparrows will return to the studio to record their next
record due out later in 2018 on Manta Ray Records.

Mixing sounds of grunge, shoe gaze, trippy rock and touching on themes of darkness and inspiration, the band consists of members from Fire in the Radio, Mother Dynamite, zer0, and Carpe Nota.

"After listening to not more than one minute in, I thought I was hearing the second coming of The Cure, Psychedelic Furs and Bauhaus or a combination of all three..."

The Classic Hunt
The Classic Hunt
The music of The Classic Hunt can be distilled down to a nebular opposition of tension and release.

The Philadelphia-based experimental indie rock five-piece creates a sound that dissolves the line between sensations of anxious isolation and ecstatic congregation.

The band released an EP titled "The Lyrids" on April 22nd during the annual meteor shower of the same name.
