Growing up doesn't mean growing soft. Though the transition into adulthood and it's cumbersome responsibilities typically goes hand in hand with complacency and the urge to settle into comfortable routines, it's necessary to remember that maturity and a placated existence are mutually exclusive behavioral patterns. Look only to the refined musical maelstrom of Narrows for confirmation.
Spread out across both the United States and two continents, Narrows exists despite geographical inconveniences for the sole purpose of creating devastating noise. Though outside obligations will most likely relegate the live Narrows experience to a truly rare event, the shared need to exorcise their collective demons fuels the trans-global project. Dave Verellen (Botch, Roy), Rob Moran (Unbroken, Some Girls, Over My Dead Body), Ryan Frederiksen (These Arms Are Snakes, Nineironspitfire), Jodie Cox (Tropics, Rohame, Bullet Union), and Sam Stothers (Makeout Boys, Quarantine) are busy men with busy lives. The Narrows project is not meant to define and drive their individual lives. Rather, the band serves as a respite; a rare opportunity to escape; a vengeful howl from the basest corner of the psyche. In those rare moments when the five men find themselves in the same city, the quintet seizes the opportunity to combine their disparate talents to craft their unique brand of aural malice.

Narrows now offer up their first proper full length album titled "New Distances". Anchored by a minimalist punk framework and elaborated by squalls of angular guitar noise, the music is simultaneously beguiling and dissonant. Helmed by Verellen's signature roar, the resulting compositions owe as much to the early hardcore pioneers as to New York and London's post-punk founders. Terminally bleak, counter-intuitive to the standard rock paradigm, and at odds with everyone, Narrow's debut is an angry slab of nihilistic abandon.
In early 2010, Narrows paired up with their Seattle friends Heiress to release an fantastic split 7"EP on Deathwish.
Since then, the band has kept busy with a part time touring schedule as they continue to write new music.

Hailing from North West Indiana NATIVE is made up of four friends who came together after realizing they were each the most serious about music in each of their former high school bands. The guys each decided to retire their childhood groups and instead come together to form Native in the Summer of 2007. The line up consists of Ed O'Neil /Guitar, Bobby Markos /Vocals and Bass, Dan Evans /Guitar and Nick Glassen on Drums. Since Native’s inception they have self released the critically touted EP We, Delete Erase with many publications giving the disc accolades. CMJ remarked, “The brand-new four piece, Native, is making noise even before their first full-length. Their self-released debut EP, We Delete; Erase, their fresh, confident sound is filling their listeners with hope for some great things to come." Also, drawing comparisons to some pretty seminal bands Surfing Magazine described them as “It lands somewhere between a pissed off Minus the Bear and a caged up Botch”.
Word of mouth about their live shows and their EP caught the attention of US Label and Management company Sargent House who went on to sign the band and who has since re-issued the EP. Native have continued to tour non-stop building quite a following in a short time through their unforgettable live shows and well executed musicianship. A review of their live show in St. Louis from The Riverfront Times stated "There's something about the age-to-talent ratio that makes the post-punk of the barely legal Indiana quartet Native both impressive and genuine. Perhaps it's the group's intelligent guitar work, which recalls the geometric riffs of Jawbox and Faraquet- Or maybe it's the fact that the vocalist's yelps sound more like a pissed Ian MacKaye than a Warped Tour screamo outfit." While Alternative Press’ live show assessment was, " For a band just a little more than a year old, Native play with the confidence and prowess of a group of lifers. "
The early reviews in for their new full length album Wrestling Moves are no less flattering with Sputnik Music saying "Anyone who has listened to We Delete; Erase will immediately hear the transformation within the band. Native is still Native, but the progression here is a massive one. "

Ladder Devils
Ladder Devils, formed in 2009 are a noisy rock outfit from Philadelphia, PA, consisting of former members of The Minor Times and Marigold. Their first songs appeared on a 3-way split with fellow noise bretheren Fight Amp and Kowloon Walled City. Shortly after that, they released their debut EP, Forget English, on October 2010 as a free download. The EP was immediately well received and garnered them attention from the punk/hardcore and indie communities alike. The band is putting the finishing touches on a new EP for release in early 2012 and are currently writing for their debut full length
