The Queers
The Queers
The Queers are a pop punk band from New Hampshire, formed in 1982. Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Joe King has been the principal member of the group, with a vast number of musicians cycling in and out of the band over the years. Supposedly, the band name 'Queers' was used simply to poke fun at what he called the "Art Fag" community in NH. That same brand of humor and inanity has become a staple of The Queers music.  While some punk rock bands attempt to use their music to impart a social or political message, King has made it clear that The Queers exist simply to play punk rock for the fun of it.

The Queers play a Ramones/The Beach Boys style of pop punk with songs about girls and beer. King has often collaborated with Ben Weasel, from Screeching Weasel. The band begun with a notoriety primarily in their own backyard, but with the release of Love Songs for the Retarded, recorded by legendary punk producer Mass Giorgini, their following grew to international proportions. They have collaborated with Mass Giorgini several times since.

Their latest release was 2010's "Back to the Basement" on Asian Man Records.  After many lineup changes, with King being the only constant, the band has found a lineup that has been together for the last five years and have no signs of slowing down.
Teenage Bottlerocket
Teenage Bottlerocket
Teenage Bottlerocket is a pop-punk band from Laramie, Wyoming, formed in 2001. The band was formed by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle after their previous band Homeless Wonders broke up in 2000, and is completed by Kody Templeman and Miguel Chen. The band's music is heavily influenced by Kody's other band, The Lillingtons.

The band released their debut EP A Bomb on a Laramie communal label, One Legged Pup, in 2002 and soon after on October 31st 2003 the band released their first album, Another Way, on vinyl only through that same label.

After touring through 2004, they set to work on their next release, Total, which was released in April 2005 through Red Scare. After more touring in support of Total, and a spot on the warped tour, they recorded their next LP for Red Scare, Warning Device, which was released on January 8, 2008. A video was released for the song "In the Basement" on December 28, 2007.

On February 10th 2009, Teenage Bottlerocket signed with punk label Fat Wreck Chords, later releasing They Came From The Shadows, their fourth and most recent album, on the 15th of September.

Up until now, the only thing these four crooks were good at making was toilet wine in the joint, but we sent them into Atlas Studios to record with Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, Less Than Jake, Smoking Popes, etc.) and out came a pop-punk/power-pop masterpiece. They looted a vault of hooks, melodies, and many-layered harmonies for this debut full-length. Think Descendents meets Weezer in a dark alley! There's already plenty of squealers and snitches talking about MASKED INTRUDER, and these thugs have been invited to play all the cool festivals and will be touring with Teenage Bottlerocket in support of this release. It's fun stuff and you're gonna like it...or else.
