Providence, Rhode Island’s HOWL ushers in a new age of iron and steel with their Relapse debut Full of Hell. Wave after wave of the quartet’s devastating riffs pound hard as tracks 'Horns of Steel,' 'Jezebel,' 'The Scorpion's Last Sting' and the insidious crawl of 'Heavenless' make clear. Full of Hell rocks hard and heavy, and is as unrelenting as the title implies. This South Philly band lists their interests as "Whiskey, Beards, Odin and Space Travel". That about sums it up. Gotta give these guys the utmost credit, they're touring non stop doing things D.I.Y., not sitting around waiting. Very nice, epic doomy space out material.
Die Choking
New band with a long pedigree of Philadelphia metal/grind/doom/power violence history. Featuring members and ex members of Javelina, LickGoldenSky, Zodiac, Cop Problem, Etc. The commitment to all things scuzzy, is proven. Highly recommended if you were a fan of long time greats such as Assück, Crossed Out, and early Napalm Death.
