TRANS ASSISTANCE PROJECT
The Trans Assistance Project (TAP) is a national organization that connects trans people in both financial and non-financial need with donors able to provide financial and non-financial resources for documentation and medical purposes. In the face of the recent election, trans individuals will face an increasingly difficult time meeting their basic needs for survival. TAP helps trans folks cast a much wider net than they would be able to on their own, linking up willing donors with recipients in need beyond individual social networks.

Through shelter, counseling, and in-home support services, YSI reaches more than 5,000 clients annually, the majority of whom live below the poverty level. They Offer: Emergency shelter for homeless and runaway teens, 24-hour emergency care for young children, parenting skills classes and counseling, truancy prevention services and family-based services in the home.

Thin Lips
Thin Lips
Thin Lips is the brain heart baby of Chrissy Tashjian, Kyle Pulley, Christopher Diehm and Mikey Tashjian. Their debut EP Divorce Year was released in 2015, giving us a sweet blend of indie rock guitar riffs and punk rock energy. This EP was recently pressed to 7" vinyl via Lame-O Records. With their new album Riff Hard, named after the tattoos on Chrissy's knuckles, Thin Lips bring their guitar shredding, high energy indie rock to a whole new level.

Thin Lips will be on tour with Modern Baseball and Joyce Manor starting this May. The band has toured with everyone from Hop Along to Cayetana to The Front Bottoms.
Katie Ellen
Katie Ellen
Katie Ellen sings the blues.
Loone
Currently an all trans and genderqueer four-piece, Loone grew out of several years of Noel'le Longhaul's solo work as a home recording artist. Loone is able to exist as a performance project through the assistance of Nick Berger, Alyssa Kai, and Ruby Vespertillo after the construction of an expansive and diverse series of recordings of many tiny thoughts. Loone in its current formation presents a itself as a funnel of many years of stored and catalogued energies and movements.
Empath
Empath
Warm earth noise pop from West Philly.
Amanda X
Amanda X
Born out of the Kensington neighborhood of North Philadelphia, where you can't throw a rock without hitting a great band, Amanda X is the three-piece antidote to bumming on grey days and the Sunday night blues. The Philadelphian women—Cat Park on guitar, Tiff Yoon on drums, and Kat Bean on bass—make music to remind you that colorful riffs and lilting oo's are meant to complement post-punk shredding and astute songwriting. Their debut full-length, Amnesia, is sure to rattle you out of your wintertime slumber like a cannonball straight into the pool.

Amanda X self-released their bedroom-cozy EP, Ruin the Moment, in 2012 to great acclaim, taking the sunny-serious vibes with them to venues all over Philadelphia, as well as on a number of tours up and down the East Coast and Canada. Their penchant for playful stage banter, garagey guitar earworms, and dual harmonies that hit just as hard live, made them a perfect opener for the likes of Parquet Courts, Marnie Stern, Dum Dum Girls, FIDLAR, and more.

After catching wind of their dedicated show schedule and powerful new songs, Philadelphia's own Siltbreeze picked up their first album. The release of the upcoming debut sees the trio taking a new approach in their songwriting—stronger, faster, harder-hitting, but not without the lovely melodies and honey-tinged sing-alongs they've built their sound on. Amanda X's lyrics are about everything from travel to friendships to fear, and they succeed in their revealing, spot-on honesty.

Imagine if Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks took a few lessons from The Raincoats, or if the K Records lineup of yesteryear had a little more distortion in their repertoire. Amanda X manages to deliver smarts and sweets in poppy songs so tightly packed that they come with a punch so strong they are really, really hard to forget.
