Shonen Knife
Shonen Knife
Osaka, Japan's Shonen Knife return with their 18th release, a new studio album called "Pop Tune" Out June 5th 2012 on Good Charamel Records in North America. The legendary female pop/punk trio continues celebrating their 30th Anniversary as the most internationally recognizable name in Japanese indie rock with another amazing collection of songs about life, fantasy and food.

Shonen Knife's newest rock party begins with a full out rocker called "Welcome to the Rock Club". "Pop Tune" also includes some new directions for the band such as the song "Move On" (which was re-recorded after the original was used in a Japanese television commercial last year) and 2 new songs sung by (bassist) Ritsuko and the newest member of Shonen Knife (drummer) Emi.

The "Pop Tune" album is again delivered masterfully by lead vocalist / founding member Naoko featuring her always fun and crunchy guitars on 10 new pop tunes that could only have come from the minds and hearts of the ladies of Shonen Knife.

The "Pop Tune" album also features the song "Osaka Rock City" which has been chosen as the theme song for a Japanese movie called "Soul Flower Train" opening later this year that is directed by Hiroshi Nishio. (http://www.soulflowertrain.com/)

In July/August of this year Naoko, Ritsuko and Emi will return to the US/Canada for their thirty city "Pop Tune North AmericaTour 2012" in support of this exciting new release!
White Mystery
White Mystery
White Mystery rocks a Top Ten Album, ELLE Magazine Brazil feature, Daytrotter session, POWERGLOVE music video, and Sound Opinions episode distributed by American Public Media.
Miss Alex White and Francis White are two siblings born and raised in the city of Chicago that play original, garage punk shows around the world.
Chicago Tribune music editor and Sound Opinions host Greg Kot writes,
"The real attraction is White Mystery, the new duo forged by Miss Alex White, best known as the guitar-wielding blowtorch in her long-running gig with [Miss Alex White and] the Red Orchestra. With drummer Francis White, she reduces her love of soul-fired garage rock to its butt-kicking essence."
