Capitalist Casualties
Holy shit! Legendary grind/power violence masters are back for some reunion shows. Influential not only for their speed and approach, but also for the way their lyrics tackle political issues. They released a shit ton of 7"s like minded friends Discordance Axis, Millions of Dead Cops, Man Is The Bastard, Monster X, Ulcer, Unholy Grave etc
Verbal Abuse
Verbal Abuse isn't a huge name in the punk world, but they made some noteworthy contributions to the Bay Area punk scene of the '80s. Although Verbal Abuse was formed in Texas, they moved to San Francisco in 1981 and became part of the same scene that boasted Fear and the Dead Kennedys -- and they were perfect for that scene because they were such an angry, combustible, in-your-face band. In 1983 and 1984, punk was an idiom that thrived on rawness and gut-level emotion; it was rock & roll at its most primal and basic -- and they were are about as primal as it gets. It isn't hard to understand why the band was called Verbal Abuse; songs like "I Hate You," "Disintegration" and "Leeches" rival Black Flag when it comes to having antisocial lyrics.
Fang
Aside from that whole prison/murder thing - Not a lot is known about Fang, other than they penned one of the best punk songs of all time, "The Money Will Roll Right In," a track that has been covered either in the studio or on-stage by the likes of Nirvana, Mudhoney, and Metallica. Fang hailed from Berkeley, CA, and that their peak creative period was during the early '80s, when they released such underground punk favorites as Landshark and Where the Wild Things Are. Although Fang never received the attention that some of their colleagues did, Landshark/Where the Wild Things Are shows that they could riff and snarl with the best of 'em.
